Lucy Stevenot is the Songbird Hospital Manager at WildCare located in San Rafael, California. She graduated from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts with a BA in Biodiversity, Ecology, and Conservation. Prior to starting her studies at Smith College, Lucy volunteered at The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC) as a hospital volunteer, while taking courses at Academy of Art University and College of Marin. Her time working in the harbor seal hospital at TMMC inspired her to switch majors from fine art to biology so she could pursue a career in wildlife rehabilitation. From 2012 to 2016 Lucy volunteered with Native Songbird Care & Conservation in Sebastopol, where she first fell in love with birds and, in particular, songbirds. In 2014 she was hired to work at The Bird Rescue Center (BRC) in Santa Rosa as a shift supervisor. After several years at BRC, Lucy was hired at WildCare to manage their Songbird Hospital. Outside of wildlife rehabilitation Lucy enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family.
