Common Raven Nestling

Joe Joseph                     California Wildlife Center  Malibu

We have an older nestling raven (550g) who desperately needs a friend. We get ravens in throughout the season but it's totally unpredictable when we'll get another. If anyone near the Los Angeles area has one of a similar size, I'd like to get them together!

Grey Fox Kit

Melanie Piazza   Wildcare

We have a grey fox kit, eyes closed, about 220g. Does anyone have a friend he can go with? A surrogate mom? We are desperate to keep him from imprinting/habituating when his eyes open and since this is the first kit this young we’ve received in over 9 years we aren’t optimistic we’ll get another one anytime soon. We’re willing to take a partner here or drive ours anywhere!
Please spread the word!

If you don’t have a friend for him, any special fox-specific tips for keeping a singleton wild other than the usual?

Thanks,
Melanie
