Don't forget your hotel! The Cliffs Resort is a beautiful venue for our symposium this year, as are the nearby Spyglass Inn and Seacrest Resort. There is no special symposium rate for hotels other than The Cliffs, but their regular prices are competive. If you are making reservations at The Cliffs, be sure to mention that you are with the CCWR symposium to receive the special rate when you call 800.826.7827. |

Do you need an alligator?Maybe not, but you might have unreleasable shorebirds or other species that someone else needs. Our Animal Placements page has become a popular place to post unreleasable animals that need a home, or animals that your facility would like to aquire. It is updated frequently. Check it out! |

It's Fire SeasonThe California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection provides current information on wildfires as they occur, with archival information on past fires. This site is updated daily. Check our website for this and other relevant wildlife news. |
Have you joined our networking list? We've set up a CCWR networking list that helps you connect with other rehabilitators. Here you can get help and advice from your fellow specialists on everything from hummingbird mites to urban coyote problems. You can use it to arrange carpools to the symposium, or to stay involved in efforts to assist organizations affected by wildfires. Joining is easier than tubing an opossum! You just register on the Yahoo site with your email and password, and the emails will automatically arrive in your inbox. You don't have to reply to them unless you can help or have some information to share. The added benefit is that you get to learn a more about what your fellow California rehabilitators are doing. |
