CCWR Action Alert: News Briefs - Section 679 Regs, Minimum Standards
Revisions and Website Updates
Dear Members,
We have a number of newsworthy items to share with you, and thought we'd put
them together in one action alert, instead of filling up your in-boxes.
First, we have posted the changes to the latest revision of the Notice of
Proposed Changes to the Section 679 regulations. You can find the document on
the CDFG page of our website: http://www.ccwr.org/resources/cdfg/.
We also wanted to let you know that IWRC and NWRA are starting the process of
revising the Minimum Standards for Wildlife Rehabilitation. They are accepting
comments regarding changes or additions you feel should be addressed via a
web-based form at: http://iwrc-online.org/news/standards.html
from May 1 through October 15, 2006. All suggestions will be seriously
considered.
Last but not least, we wanted to announce two new helpful resources we've added
to our website during the past few weeks. We are now offering an Orphan Match
area and a Volunteers section. If you have an orphan singlet that needs company
or have a surrogate to help raise orphans, please post your listing on our brand
new Orphan Match page. We have also added a new Volunteer Opportunities section
for those seeking volunteers (as we all always are!) and for people seeking
wildlife rehabilitation volunteer positions. You can find both of these new
tools in the Resources section of our website: www.ccwr.org/resources/.
All the best,
The CCWR Board
