CCWR Action Alert: May Meeting and Public Comment Period for Proposed Changes to 
Section 679

Dear Members,

A new 45-day comment period regarding proposed changes to section 679 of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Code will begin April 28, 2006. The proposed changes have been rewritten and a notice regarding pre-adoption of the changes will be sent on April 28. Written comments must be received by May 2. Verbal comments and handouts will be accepted at the public hearing at the North Tahoe Conference Center on May 4. The regulation changes will affect MOUs statewide, so you are encouraged to submit your comments and attend the meeting. Adoption of the changes will be considered in a closed vote taking place June 23 at Mammoth Lakes.
