Planet Connect
2012 Wildlife Conservation Youth Engagement Grants
Environmental solutions for the future can begin with you!

Whether you’re in a city, rural area or a suburb, wildlife is all around you. In many places, that wildlife faces challenges. If you’re a high school student with a creative idea for conserving and protecting wildlife, Planet Connect is offering grants of $1,000 to implement a project in your local school or community. In addition, all grantees will receive funding to participate in a local summer internship focused on wildlife conservation or natural resources.
Here’s your chance to make a difference! Apply for a national Planet Connect Youth Engagement Grant today! Visit planetconnect.org/2012wcgrants to learn more and to watch the grant promo video.

Need some help brainstorming project ideas? Check out the grant projects and internship summaries from the 2011 student grantees here: planetconnect.org/2011grantwinners

Apply by February 1, 2012!

We wanted to send over information about a wildlife conservation grant opportunity for high school students. We would love to know if it was possible to reach your base with the opportunity, in order to reach as many environmentally-conscious young people as possible.
The Student Wildlife Conservation Grants are offered by our Planet Connect (http://planetconnect.org/) program, a youth engagement initiative of the National Environmental Education Foundation (http://www.neefusa.org/). We are offering high school students grants of $1,000 – this funding will give grantees the opportunity to implement wildlife conservation projects in their schools or communities and participate in a local internship focused on wildlife conservation or natural resources.

I’ve included our promotional language at the end of this message, in case you were able to spread the word through your networks, on social media or the CCWR site. If you are able to reply via email, I can attach our promotional graphic, as well. We also have a promotional video that quickly explains the grants: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G450jl_2NKo&feature=channel_video_title

To learn more, please visit the grant web page, located here: http://planetconnect.org/2012wcgrants
