Eleventh Annual  Spring Wings Bird Festival
Fallon, Nevada
May 9-11, 2008

The Spring Wings Bird Festival coincides with International Migratory Bird Day and the height of spring migration in the Lahontan Valley wetlands. These internationally recognized wetlands are temporary home to over 260 species of birds, including thousands of White-faced ibis, Long-billed dowitcher, American white pelicans, Black-necked stilts, American avocets, and many other waterfowl and waterbirds. During the 2007 festival, 164 different species were logged - a new festival record!!

Audubon Canyon Ranch's Bolinas Lagoon Preserve
Stinson  Beach , CA

See nesting Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets and Snowy Egrets each weekend. ACR offers a wide range of nature activities including bird and wildlife viewing, hiking trails and picnic facilities. Bolinas Lagoon Preserve is open to the public during the spectacular heron and egret nesting season from the third weekend in March through the second weekend in July on the following days and times:

* Weekends and holidays: 10am to 4pm, no appointment necessary.
* Tuesday - Friday: 2pm to 4pm by appointment only.
* Mondays: Closed.
